- Unplug unused appliances
- Keeps electrical appliances away from sinks, bathtubs, or any water source
- Rountinly check electrical cords for cracks, breaks, or exposed wire. Extension cords should only be used as a temporary source
- Never alter a plug to fit into an electrical outlet
- Keep clothing or any kind of fabric away from outlets
- Do not let beds rest against an outlet. If it were to spark, it would take less than 5 minutes for the matress to burn completely
